The Pine Bluff clinic began operations in 1993 in a small building provided by Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The first home had on 4 treatment rooms, so it was a great surprise when local business man Don Ritchie offered to build a structure just for KIDS FIRST.
The new clinic, with 8 treatment rooms, therapy areas, nursing station and offices for administration was welcomed by all. In 2005 a new wing was added to accommodate 3 additional treatment rooms, new nurse’s station, kitchen and large indoor playroom. In addition the clinic enjoys a large playground area for all ages.
Today the clinic in Pine Bluff serves 90+ children from Jefferson county and surrounding areas. KIDS FIRST Pine Bluff works in cooperation with local, area and state colleges to provide observation and training to nursing, early childhood and special education students.
